No-frills carry-out BBQ spot that has been a staple in North STL since 1963.
I came on labor day and they were extremely backed up. It took 50 min for me to get my food! They were very apologetic however, and gave me a free orange soda as compensation.
I got a pulled pork sandwich (which came with mashed potatoes) and a side of french fries. The sauce on the pulled pork sandwich was amazing, however the meat itself was very fatty left much to be be desired. The fries were solid.
It is hot as h*** inside the place, as the residual heat from the grills amps up the temperature, and they only have one fan to cool it off, however they have a patio where you can sit and wait as well. -

This place is absolute fire! Easily the best carryout BBQ in town. Large portions at a small price soaked in sauce straight outa heaven!

I ended up reading a review, about how good the Turkey ribs are. So I figured I'd give them a try.It was about 20 minutes out of the way.But the barbecue was excellent it was a decent price the cashier was courteous and the food was prepared and served quickly.Keep up the good work

I come here to buy their bottled sauce (2/$5). It's locally made, in-house, and it's sweet/smokey. I only like to buy a bunch and pair it with other sauces from STL BBQ joints to create the best care package to my friends in the east and west coast for the holidays.
But on to the food- the speciality is snout. And honestly- I'm just not a fan and I don't eat a lot of pork, never-mind snout. It's not the same type of BBQ as Pappy's or Salt n Smoke, but it's def. and worth the trip/try - even though it's in the middle of nowhere for me. For some reason- everything is also served on white bread. BTW- there is no seating in here (besides a bench)- this is a take out only type of place.
